On July 4, 2022, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed a delegation of UK students to study and exchange cultures at the university.

The delegation comprised 43 students from UK universities, including the University of Bristol, Cardiff University, University of Liverpool, Durham University, University of Leeds, York St. John University, and the University of Central Lancashire.

The program lasts until the end of 26 August 2022 with various contents, including learning the Vietnamese language and culture in addition to other activities such as internships at enterprises, cultural exchanges, and visiting the scenic spots in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta. At the end of the program, students will receive a course completion certificate from TDTU.

At the orientation session, students were introduced in detail about the exchange program, and important notes during living and studying in Vietnam; students also had a tour around the TDTU campus and connected with TDTU’s International Volunteer Team (IVT) for support in all activities.

This is a part of the UK government’s global project to study and work abroad. The program is named "Turing Scheme" in honor of Alan Turing - a great British scientist. Through this program, the UK government provides financial support for students in UK universities to have the opportunity to study and work around the world.
