Ambassador of the Republic of Finland in Vietnam highly appreciates the educational model at Vietnam - Finland International School

On May 11, 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Finland led by Mr. Keijo Norvanto - Ambassador of the Republic of Finland paid a visit to Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Accompanying the Embassy were Ms. Anna Korpi - Education and Science Counsellor, Embassy of Finland in Singapore and Ms. Mac Le Thu Hong - Special Adviser, Embassy of Finland in Hanoi. From TDTU, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - President, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President and Director of VFIS, leaders, lecturers, and staff of functional units welcomed the Embassy.
During this first visit, Mr. Keijo Norvanto evaluated that VFIS has good facilities and meets Finnish standards. He had a discussion with the Executive Board, the School Board, and teachers of the School on innovation and improvement of teaching and learning activities in the coming time, including program accreditation, sharing of learning resources, introducing excellent Finnish teachers to VFIS, creating favorable conditions for students to continue studying, doing research and working in Finland after graduating from high school at VFIS and graduating from TDTU.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao thanked the Embassy of Finland for the interest and support during the past time, and affirmed that the University would accept the Ambassador’s comments for improving and enhancing the quality of education to provide a healthy school and international integration environment.
Internationalization is a strategic activity of TDTU. Every year, the University is honored to welcome ambassadors and consulates of countries around the world to visit, work and carry out cultural exchanges, build friendships, and coordinate in training global citizens who are willing to integrate and adapt to diverse national cultures, contributing to bringing Vietnamese education to the world level.
