Expanding cooperation programs with schools in Ostrava, the Czech Republic

During the business trip to Europe, leaders of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) visited Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO), University of Ostrava (UO), and Maticni Skola Ostrava High School for the Gifted (MGO), Czech Republic, on 25 and 26 May 2023.
VSB-TUO and TDTU have established a cooperative relationship since 2011 and successfully implemented bilateral doctoral training programs, 2+2 joint programs, Erasmus+, established joint research groups, and co-organized international scientific conferences, and exchanged professors, scientists, and students annually. VSB-TUO is also a founding member of the University Consortium International (UCI) initiated by TDTU. In the coming time, the two sides agree to promote more comprehensive cooperation activities to develop higher education in the University Consortium International (UCI) and pay attention to new research cooperation programs according to the United Nations' sustainability criteria, research projects from Europe ...
During the visit to UO, the delegation worked with the Rector, Vice-Rector and leaders of the Faculty of Medicine. UO is ready to cooperate in developing the medical training field at TDTU in the future. The two sides have considered the possibility of implementing research projects in the medical field, training doctors and doctoral programs … After the discussion, the delegation visited the medical training facility of the University. This is one of the two largest EU-funded medical training facilities in the Czech Republic.
The delegation also had an exchange with Maticni Skola Ostrava High School for the Gifted to introduce about TDTU and Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS). The principals of the two schools have agreed on potential cooperation contents on student exchange programs, online learning exchanges with TDTU and student exchange programs between VFIS-TDTU and MGO.
