The 2022-2023 Academic Year Opening Ceremony of Ton Duc Thang University

On October 14, 2022, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Opening Ceremony of the new academic year 2022-2023 and welcomed students of the Intake 26. The event was held in a joyful atmosphere celebrating the 25th founding anniversary of TDTU.
In the summary report for the academic year 2021-2022, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President of the University affirmed that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ton Duc Thang University still successfully completed the academic year plans and objectives. All aspects of the University’s activities have closely followed international standards such as AUN-QA, FIBAA through the completion of accreditation of some undergraduate curricula. Other undergraduate and graduate curricula are completing self-assessment reports for further accreditation in the near future.
In 2022, TDTU continues to enroll in prestigious international university rankings. International cooperation, business cooperation and community connection have gained important achievements. The quality of education continues to be improved, with the evidence that the rate of students getting a job within 12 months after graduation is over 99%, and 100% in some fields. Students are highly appreciated by enterprises for their attitude, professionalism and professional skills.
At the ceremony, the University rewarded typical students with excellent results in study and extracurricular activities in the academic year 2021-2022, and awarded scholarships to valedictorian students, students with excellent English results. In addition, a special full scholarship was awarded to the new student Nguyen Thi My Hoa to encourage her to overcome difficulties and make efforts in the future.
Nguyen Hoang Kha - Student of the Faculty of Law, the valedictorian of the Intake 26, representing 5,600 freshmen shared: “...We look forward to receiving the companionship, love and dedicated guidance from lecturers and all senior students. We promise to try our best to study and practice, persevere in overcoming difficulties, and strive to do our best for the upcoming journey.”
Following the tradition of TDTU, new students also performed the swearing-in ceremony, receiving the traditional flag from the senior students. The new academic year has officially begun.
