Ton Duc Thang University Welcomes and Works with the Delegation from the University of Ulsan (Korea)

On October 23, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) had the honor of welcoming and working with the delegation from the University of Ulsan (UOU), South Korea, to discuss potential strategic collaborations in education, scientific research, and international academic exchange.

Representing TDTU at the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach – Director of the Institute for International Cooperation, Research and Training (INCRETI), along with representatives from the Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Faculty of Biotechnology.

The University of Ulsan’s delegation included Mr. Wonkyo Jung – Director of the Office of International Relations and Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sung Hoon Back – School of Biological Science, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Lee, Kyoung-Soub – College of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.

At the meeting, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and the University of Ulsan (UOU) discussed and agreed on several potential directions for future cooperation. Both sides plan to implement short-term student and faculty exchange programs in fields such as Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, and Electrical–Electronics Engineering. The two universities also aim to strengthen joint research and teaching collaboration through the participation of professors and experts in training programs, as well as the organization of seminars, workshops, and joint scientific conferences to foster academic exchange and co-publication of research outcomes. In addition, both institutions expressed their intention to develop a long-term strategic partnership, exploring opportunities for joint training programs and scholarship initiatives for Vietnamese students.

During the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach highly appreciated the strong and enduring partnership between the two universities since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2018, particularly highlighting the success of the 2018 student internship program in Information Technology and the 2025 online seminar series co-organized by TDTU’s Faculty of Applied Sciences and the University of Ulsan.

In his remarks, Mr. Wonkyo Jung expressed his sincere appreciation for the effective cooperation between the two institutions over the years and reaffirmed that the University of Ulsan would continue to collaborate closely with TDTU to promote academic exchange and joint research development.

At the end of the meeting, both sides took a tour of TDTU’s campus and exchanged further ideas on specific cooperation plans for the upcoming period.

This meeting not only strengthened the educational partnership between Ton Duc Thang University and the University of Ulsan, but also opened up new opportunities for academic and research collaboration, contributing to the development of a dynamic, creative, and globally connected educational environment.
