The visits to KU Leuven and UHasselt reaffirm TDTU’s consistent commitment to expanding its international partnership network through deeper and more substantive engagement. By placing education, scientific research, innovation, and real-world application at the core of its strategy, the University seeks to build sustainable cooperation programs, develop highly qualified human resources, strengthen its research capacity, and make positive contributions to society.

Discussions focused on faculty and student exchanges, joint academic programs, joint supervision of doctoral students, connections between research groups, the co-organization of scientific conferences, and participation in European research programs and projects.

During the working session, the two universities discussed enhancing their existing academic programs and exploring the development of new 2+2 joint programs in Mechatronics and Business. They also agreed to further develop the sandwich PhD program while strengthening student and faculty exchanges and fostering closer connections between research groups.
