Hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages (FFL), the Opening Ceremony of the International Cultural Festival (ICF 2018) was held at Hall 6B on July 2, 2018.
Delegates attending the ceremony were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – Vice President of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Mr. Nguyen Trung Dinh – Director of Center for Enterprises Cooperation and Alumni (CECA), and international lecturers and students. They were all warmly welcomed by the FFL members as well as students from other faculties.
The ICF is an annual cultural event held by the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Its primary purpose is to enhance and expand the international relationship between TDTU and other universities in the world. This helps international students understand more about Vietnamese culture, and also is an opportunity for Vietnamese and international students to learn, exchange and explore different cultures through cuisine and other activities.
Compared to the ICF 2017, the International Cultural Festival this year is more diverse in terms of nationality, culture and ethnicity. There are over 40 international students coming from six countries including Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand, China and Taiwan.
