Ton Duc Thang University welcomes and collaborates with Ontario Tech University - Canada

On November 3, 2023, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), there was a welcoming, exchange, and collaboration session between TDTU and Ontario Tech University - Canada.
Representatives from Ontario Tech University - Canadan were Dr. Steven Murphy, the President, and Ms. Phuong Mai, International Student Recruitment Advisor in the Southeast Asia region. From TDTU, the attendees included Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President, along with representatives from several units under TDTU, including the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the Faculty of Information Technology, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and the Faculty of Business Administration.
Dr. Steven Murphy mentioned that this was his first visit to TDTU and he was impressed by the cheerful and warm atmosphere of the ongoing Graduation Ceremony. During the working session, both sides engaged in mutual discussions about potential collaborations, especially in the field of technology-linked education. They discussed the exchange of lecturers, students, and researchers, as well as the joint organization of scientific seminars to connect and expand the academic community between the two countries.
As of the end of October 2023, Ton Duc Thang University has signed cooperation agreements with five universities from Canada. Notably, it had the honor of hosting the visit of the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, who engaged in discussions with lecturers and students in November 2022. Following that, on October 11, 2023, a delegation of leaders from 23 prestigious universities and major educational institutions in Canada such as the University of British Columbia (ranked 41st in THE World University Ranking 2023), McGill University (ranked 49th in THE WUR 2023), among others, visited and collaborated with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Ontario Tech University (Canada) was established in 2002 and offers a wide range of undergraduate programs encompassing various fields such as business, engineering, sciences, education, information technology, humanities, energy systems, and many other areas. In 2023, UOIT ranks within the top 250 according to THE Young University Ranking.
