Ton Duc Thang University welcomes and collaborates with Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands)

On November 3, 2023, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) had the honor to welcome Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) for a collaboration session.

Representatives of Saxion University of Applied Sciences were Mr. Peter van Dam – Dean of the School of Life Sciences, Engineering and Design; Mr. Sander Reinderink – Director of the School of Finance & International Business; Mr. Janco Bonnink – Director of the Department of Education & Student Support; and Ms. Ngoc Ngo – Director of Strategic Partnerships.

On the side of TDTU, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly – Vice Chairman of the University Council, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration; Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach – Director of the International Cooperation, Research & Training Institute (INCRETI); Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong – Person in charge of the Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering; together with some leaders of TDTU’s subordinate units.

At the meeting, the two parties ran evaluations on quality regarding the joint-programs of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering) and Financial Controls (Faculty of Business Administration). Following that, they went on to discuss about techniques of efficient admission and student support, with the hope to expand the joint-programs in Mechatronics (Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering) and International Business (Faculty of Business Administration).

TDTU and Saxion University of Applied Sciences have been close bilateral partners for over 20 years, especially in the field of joint-programming, lecturer/student exchanges, co-hosting of international conferences, and developing collaborative research. The University is currently home to 28,000 students and is offering more than 100 courses in several fields of Archaeology, Finance, Law, Engineering, Hospitality, Business, Information Technology, Broadcasting, Medical Studies and Digital Media, etc.
