This special program is tailored to meet the demand of groups of at least 15 international students. Besides lectures, "into the local" is the highlight of this program. Students will experience and immerse themselves in Vietnamese life and Vietnamese culture through a variety of activities such as company visits, art shows, field trips, etc.

Based on partner’s requirements, TDTU will customize the courses in 4 steps:

           Step 1: Receive the partner’s ideas and suggestions

           Step 2: Discuss and finalize the program

           Step 3: Sign an agreement

           Step 4: Perform the program



These classes will be designed upon our partners' requirements to match the level of students with diverse topics such as culture, economy, language, science, and technology.


Cultural workshops are the favorite ones among many classes offered in TDTU. Joining classes such as cooking and tea tasting, learners will have an opportunity to taste and create a variety of Vietnamese dishes following the instruction of kind and knowledgeable instructors.


Duration: 4 hours

Location: Ho Chi Minh City tour

We will take you to visit five key Ho Chi Minh City historic attractions including Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, War Remnants Museum, and Independence Palace, and then explore Ben Thanh market. In addition, you can savor some Vietnamese dishes at lunchtime.

MEKONG DELTA TOUR (lunch included)

Duration: 10 hours (from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM)

Location: Vinh Long Province

Morning: Departure at 7:00 AM, from Ton Duc Thang University for Cai Be pier.

The tour starts with taking a boat trip to discover the beauty of Cai Be Floating Market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Then, you will be going on to a local traditional village and visiting a local workshop, learning how to make rice paper and coconut candy. Students can enjoy free sample of local specialties such as honey tea, green rice, and discover daily activities of local people.

After that, students will continue taking a boat ride along the Mekong river to Vinh Long - the center of tropical fruits in the Mekong Delta, then stop for a short visit and enjoy seasonal fruits in the local garden such as plum, guava, mango, rambutan, etc.

Lunch (12 P.M): Lunch is served at a riverside restaurant. After lunch, students will participate in a wide range of exciting games such as ostrich riding, 

crocodile fishing, grass sliding, footbridges passing.

Besides many forms of entertainment, students have chances to join with local people to explore daily activities such as rowing boats, spreading nets or catching fishes, especially only with bare hands.


Location: Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Duration: 7 – 8 hours (from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

It takes 1.5 hours from Ton Duc Thang University to Cu Chi tunnels by car. In Cu Chi tunnels, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Watch a documentary film that shows students about the past of the Cu Chi tunnels.
  • Crawl short distances through the tunnels that were used by guerrillas during the Vietnam War.
  • Learn about how different types of booby trap - the symbol of guerrilla warfare - were created and set up.
  • Visit the weapon room and learn how they were made.
  • Visit the shooting range to fire a real AK-47.


TDTU has a strong industry collaboration and flexibly arrange company visit for international students to our partner enterprises in Vietnam. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Vietnamese working environment and gain more experience in working with different people from diversified cultures.

Showtime: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Water puppet shows are tales of myth and magic interjected with plenty of humor. Performances take place on a water stage which is usually four meters square with highly skilled puppeteers hidden behind a painted bamboo screen. Long rods are used to manipulate the wooden puppets which are brightly colored and carved in detail. Water puppet shows will be set in the beautiful Vertical Garden of Rex Hotel. Students will enjoy this important and entertaining part of Vietnam’s heritage amidst lush surroundings, right in the center of the hotel.

TDTU will support international students to submit visa application in Vietnam. Students will receive an approval letter via email to get their visas at Vietnam authorized organizations after 2 weeks.

Orientation helps international students with an easier transition to TDTU campus life and to Vietnamese culture. Through campus tours, many places in TDTU are discovered and queries about the campus, community, culture, and how to connect with new friends can be solved out.


Students are required to buy insurance before coming to Vietnam. We will support in providing basic information about diff­erent options and benefits for students.

International Volunteer Team (IVT)

At TDTU, our International Volunteer Team (IVT) will support international students with both on and o­ff-campus services. As local students, IVT has strong knowledge and understandings about Vietnamese culture and can help you out in any difficulties you may have. They will be your first Vietnamese buddies who facilitate your stay with us and remain in touch with you to develop a global friendship network.

Dongguk University

From December 24th, 2018 to February 15th, 2019, TDTU organized a short-term program for students from Dongguk University (DU). This program focused on Vietnamese language classes, Economic and Cultural lectures, and company visits. Especially, Dongguk students are supported to connect with international businesses to get an opportunity for internship placement or interview for a job. Read more
