2. Legal documents:
The regulations governing immigration and residency for expatriates in Vietnam are provided in the following legal documents:
Law No. 47/2014/QH13 on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Expatriates in Vietnam ("Immigration Law"); and
Circular No. 04/2015/TT/BCA of the Ministry of Public Security ("MPS") dated January 5, 2015, providing the forms on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Expatriates in Vietnam.
3. Required Documents:
- Application form for issuance, replacement, modification, or stay extension to be completed by a temporary resident foreigner in Vietnam
- Original passport with a validity of above 6 months
- Original residence record
- Work permit or Admission letter
- 1 Photo 4 x 6 cm with white background, no glasses, business attire
- Other documents (if required)
4. Processing time:
The processing time is 14 working days after the valid dossiers are submitted. In the event of an unexpected occurrence, additional time may be required.
