The bilateral working sessions between Ton Duc Thang University and universities in Canada were conducted within the framework of Universities Canada's Digital mission to Vietnam, which took place in 3 days (from 23 to 25 November 2021).
On the morning of 01 October 2021, after five days of official assessment, the AUN University Network (AUN-QA) together with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the Closing Ceremony of the 236th online AUN-QA assessment for three TDTU’s undergraduate programs: Architecture, Graphic Design, and Occupational Safety and Health.
Representatives of AUN-QA attending the Closing Ceremony included: Prof. Dr. Anel Onesimo O. Uy, Lead Assessor of ASEAN University Network (AUN), AUN Council Members, Secretariat and 6 AUN-QA assessors.
On the morning of 27 September 2021, the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) together with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the Opening Ceremony for the online assessment of three undergraduate programs: Architecture, Graphic Design, and Occupational Safety and Health.

On 29 January 2021 morning, after four days of official assessment, the AUN University Network (AUN-QA) together with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized the Closing Ceremony the 196th online AUN-QA assessment for four TDTU’s undergraduate programs: English Language, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics and Accounting.

On the morning of December 14, 2020, the opening ceremony of the Posters Exhibition on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad group took place at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). The V4 group is comprised of four countries namely, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Representative of the University; Mr. Maciej Duszyński, Deputy Head of Mission of the Polish Embassy in Vietnam; representatives of the V4 parties; TDTU lecturers, staff and students attended the ceremony.
On September 24, 2020, the New Zealand diplomatic delegation consisted of Mr. Joseph Mayhew, Deputy Ambassador of New Zealand in Vietnam; Ms. Banh Pham Ngoc Van, Vietnam Market Director of Education New Zealand (ENZ); and Ms. Nguyen Lam Giang, Southeast Asia Regional Manager, the University of Waikato visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University.Dr. Tran Trong Dao, TDTU Representative, welcomed and worked with the delegation.
At 11:00 AM on August 15, 2020 (Vietnam time), Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) announced the rankings of the best universities in the world in 2020. Vietnam has only one university, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), to continue to be in this table; ranked in the Top 701-800, an increase of at least 200 positions compared to 2019 (901-1000).
Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) has just been ranked in the TOP 400 and within the 500 best universities by Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), which is the world's most reputable university ranking system, based on various academic subjects in 2020.
As seen below, TDTU is in the top 301-400 in the world and ranks first in Vietnam for Mathematics. This is followed by the University of Georgia and the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York in the USA, and the University of Queensland in Australia in terms of Q1 scores.
After 3 months of implementing rigorous testing stages, on May 6th 2020, the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) officially recognized the Master's program in Finance and Banking of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
With this recognition, TDTU becomes the first university in Vietnam to have a master's degree program accredited by GARP. This is the premise for the university to continue developing to bring the best benefits for the students who choose to study this program in Banking and Finance.
